Hi all,
Just a very brief update today: I got confirmation yesterday evening that our shipment of Lumberjills has arrived in California and is en route to our fulfillment partner who is ready and eager to send it to you!
Each War Birds project has had a hairy emotional transport experience, with War Birds it was a one month delay when a Typhoon swept through the shipping lane, with Rosenstrasse, it was supply chain issues and a three month delay of painful port backlogs in the height of the pandemic. This time, it was the ever changing threat of surprise tariffs ranging from 10-100%. But, I can finally breathe easy because the threat has dissipated. Thank goodness we narrowly avoided that catastrophe! 😅
It's been a rough start to 2025, and I hope you all are tying a knot and holding on. I'd like to give a shout out to the Alt National Parks Service who are thematically relevant to our game and doing critical resistance work. Check them out as a source of information and action.

Hope everyone had some cozy time with loved ones since my last update! 💞
A quick update on the campaign today: Manufacturing has completed on time, and the game has shipped! The vast majority of the print run is currently on a container on the way to Indie Press Revolution who will be handling the fulfillment process for American and overseas backers. We are keeping fingers crossed that they will experience no import rule changes or egregious tariffs over the next couple of months that will cause problems or delays.
Meanwhile the small portion of the print run that was shipped to Canada via FedEx has arrived, and all of the packages for Canadian backers have been assembled and mailed! For these backers, I bundled duty into the cost of shipping, and so they will be arriving via Canada Post, without additional cost or those terrible FedEx surcharges!
The print run looks great, but there is one small idiosyncrasy that I wanted to warn you about: the cards were printed as expected but packaged with the cards upside down. This is of course easily remedied but I wanted to let you know in advance in case anyone found it confusing.
Next update to come when I have an ETA about the shipment that is en route to the US. Stay warm and be good to each other!

Hello all!
I'm currently snowed in following an intense and sudden snowstorm in Central Ontario early this week. I'm staying cozy and sick of shovelling, but it's time for an update!
The manufacturer has completed the set up for our print run and has sent me the first test copy - it's looking fantastic! It is bright and beautiful thanks to Robin and Claudia's visual work. The print test is good, the box is very solid, high quality and it feels.... so real! It has been approved, and the the manufacturer has confirmed that they are on track to complete the print run this month and ship it to the distributor.
I am a bit concerned about the talk of new tariffs! At this point we don't know if we will be affected, what rate they would be set at, or when they will come into effect. The game is unlikely to arrive in a US port until late February, and so we might be affected. I'll be holding my breath a bit until we know.
Please keep your fingers crossed for me!
I'm about to hit send on the bonus pack of additional cards for the game! I designed them based on the custom requests of our Deluxe Backers. Consisting of seven new playable Jills and two new romancing Suitors, I love the new dimension that these cards add to the game, and how they extend it's re-playability! Many thanks to Misha Bushyager, Patty Kirsch, Julie Ahern, Annie Norman, Melissa Cohen, Catherine Drayer, Kathryn Hymes, Sarah Worsham and Whitney Delaglio for generously agreeing to share their custom characters with all the game's backers.
Like the digital version of the main game, I have created colour and low-ink printable versions of this bonus pack to match the deck. In the future, I will also be sending out at-cost Drive Thru Cards Print-on-Demand codes to all physical backers in case you are excited to add these to your game box. By no means do I have Robin's skill at layout, so if you see any errors or irregularities, blame me, not her! She gave me excellent bones to work with, so I hope you like them. <3
