Heck yes!
I strongly recommend that people broaden their horizons by playing games that bring them new perspectives, experiences and different kinds of stories. Challenging yourself in this way can only make you a better roleplayer in the end, and you may be surprised at how relevant and important diverse stories can become to you as a person. I also believe running diverse games lets you improve the play culture of the communities that you are involved with, while also expanding your skills as a facilitator. Because Lumberjills has players lead the way it’s a great game to run if you’re new to it and nervous about being able to support folks not of your own gender.
I knew Lumberjills would be fun for everyone when I was initially designing it, but even I was surprised and delighted by how much novel joy male players reported experiencing in play! It turns out that Lumberjills invites male players to experience emotions and situations that they’re rarely given permission or access to - and delivers new kinds of game enjoyment.

As a historical game, can Lumberjills make a queer story?
Yes, and I believe uniquely so. I’ve worked very hard to incorporate avenues for queer stories in the game while also keeping it squarely rooted in history vs. making a queer fantasy. I think the way I have done this also creates an opportunity for queer players to explore the nuances of queer romance in history. I have also included a section on Queer Romance to provide specific advice on this topic for the facilitator.

How much will shipping be?
Shipping will be charged in Backer Kit when we are ready to fulfill. While shipping prices vary, our pre-campaign check on shipping suggests that it will be something like US: $6, Canada: $15, International: $21 for the box set.

How can I buy A Plague Among Us if I am not immunocompromised / living with long Covid?
A Plague Among Us will not be sold or distributed as part of this campaign. The add-on here is just meant for us to make sure that folks still deeply affected by the pandemic receive at-cost print on demand codes to it when it comes available on DriveThruRPG down the road, in solidarity.
We will do an update to backers to announce when it becomes available to purchase on DriveThru, and in the meantime you can play it for free on Storysynth or download it on our itch.io storefront (links are provided in the campaign text, under the Add-On section).

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
